Q: Is Slendesta safe?
A: Slendesta Potato Extract is a natural protein extract derived from US-grown, non-GMO white potatoes, which have been safely consumed for hundreds of years.  In clinical studies using Slendesta, no adverse events associated with the use of Slendesta were reported.  Slendesta has been generally recognized as safe (GRAS) by a panel of qualified experts for use in a range of food and beverage applications.

Q: What is the source of Slendesta?
A: Potatoes. Slendesta is a natural protein extract containing active component PI2 that’s found under the skin of potatoes. We use only U.S.-grown, non-genetically modified potatoes to make Slendesta.

Q: How is Slendesta extracted from the potatoes?
A: We use a gentle, water-based process to extract the protein from the potato. No harsh chemicals are used in the manufacturing of Slendesta.

Q: How does Slendesta work?
A: The PI2 in Slendesta, when ingested, triggers the body’s natural release of cholecystokinin (CCK), considered to be the best-studied satiety factor in the body. The CCK signaling process is a natural one that occurs after food is eaten.  Slendesta promotes the release of CCK and extends this natural signal which helps people feel full sooner and longer.  Slendesta, when used in dietary supplements, should be taken approximately 1 hour before the two largest meals, daily, and should be used by adults with a program of diet and exercise.

Q: Is Slendesta another one of those “fat burners” that claim to increase metabolism?
A: No. Slendesta is NOT one of the many so-called “fat burners” on the market today. It does not artificially stimulate metabolism to burn more calories, nor does it cause jitters, bloating, or other side effects commonly associated with some other weigh management ingredients.  While you are unlikely to notice a specific reaction after taking Slendesta, such as jitters from stimulants, Slendesta helps you feel full sooner and longer to help you stick to your diet plan.

Q: Who makes Slendesta?
A: Slendesta is manufactured by Kemin. Kemin is a U.S.-based company with a long history and excellent reputation for making science-based ingredients for food and dietary supplements that deliver nutritional value and important functional benefits.  Kemin researches, develops and manufactures unique specialty ingredients to address important human nutritional and health needs in safe and consumer friendly delivery forms.
